Vardemuseerne as a workplace
With ten different museums spread across Varde Municipality, Vardemuseerne is a diverse workplace with around 120 passionate employees across many different professional fields.
We employ historians, archaeologists, museum curators and museum hosts, as well as, among others, teachers, nature guides, technicians, and specialists in communications and finance.
We place great emphasis on a good working environment and a strong sense of community, and therefore organise several annual gatherings and activities for our employees.

With our museums and new projects on the drawing board, we are constantly working to create high-quality museum experiences. Work experience placement at Vardemuseerne
Are you looking for a work experience placement? As a trainee at Vardemuseerne, over the course of a week you will gain insight into many different aspects of museum work. You will visit several departments and meet employees with different professional backgrounds. The placement therefore does not take place in the same department for the entire week—but if you have a particular interest, we will try as far as possible to take it into account.
We have a limited number of placements throughout the year.
