Experience the most virgin nature of the Wadden Sea National Park where the landscape is constantly changing. We’ll meet arctic wading birds, study the characteristic flora, watch seals and dive into the fascinating story about the residents of the island.
The hike goes along the ebb way to the nature reserve and the island Langli which is only open for access two months a year. Here we’ll have the chance to experience the most virgin nature of the Wadden Sea National Park where the landscape is developing in its own way and at its own pace. Likewise, it is the only island in the Wadden Sea which is listed by UNESCO as World Heritage. We’ll meet arctic wading birds that use the Wadden Sea as a rest area on their long migration to Africa and study the characteristic flora. We’ll watch the many resting seals and dive into the fascinating story about the residents of the island – people who lived a hard and very challenging life on the island a hundred years ago.
